Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This page is for people in Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and other states with consumer health data laws. It covers the Porcelain iPhone app and this website. The full app privacy policy is here.
The short version
We do not collect, receive, share or sell your consumer health data. What you log in Porcelain, and anything it reads from Apple Health, stays on your iPhone and is processed only there.
Health data the app uses on your iPhone
- What you enter: poop logs (shape, color, amount, time, symptoms such as pain or blood), "No poop" and "Tried, but couldn't go" days, habits, "Tummy today", notes, photos, report names and notes.
- If you turn on Apple Health: sleep, steps, period dates, water and fiber, read only to set them beside your logs (for example, in Habits side by side). Porcelain doesn't keep a copy of what it reads, and doesn't put it in backup files.
These are used only to show your own logs back to you on your iPhone: summaries, comparisons, notices, and reports or files you choose to make.
Collection and sharing
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking tools in the app. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates. We have no way to see it.
You decide whether to make a backup file, PDF report, CSV file or share card, and where to send it. Those copies are yours; we don't receive them.
This website
This website has no sign-up forms, no analytics and no advertising. It does not collect health data.
Your rights
Because we hold no consumer health data about you, there is nothing for us to access, share, correct or delete. You can delete everything the app stores at any time with Settings › Delete All Data, or by deleting the app. To stop Porcelain reading Apple Health, open the Health app, tap your picture, then Apps › Porcelain.
