Website privacy notice
Last updated: September 26, 2026
This notice covers this website. The Porcelain app has its own privacy policy.
What we collect now
No new form submissions. Since September 26, 2026, this website has no forms: no waitlist, no beta check-in and no survey. It does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. Your browser stores a letter ("a" or "b") locally so you see the same headline on return visits; it isn't sent to us. The company that hosts the site, Netlify, may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
What was collected before
Before September 26, 2026, the site had a waitlist form (an email address, optional answers picked from lists, the page version and your agreement), a beta check-in (a random tester code) and a beta survey. These were stored by Netlify, which checked them for spam with Akismet, a spam-filtering service by Automattic. We don't share them with anyone else and we never sell them.
We will not send emails to the waitlist. We delete all of this information within 30 days after the app is on the App Store, and no later than December 31, 2026.
Consumer health data
Some state laws, such as Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's law on consumer health data, may treat information connected with a bowel-tracking app, even an email address on its waitlist, as consumer health data. We used what was collected before only for the waitlist and the beta, shared it only with the service providers named above, and never sold it.
Your choices
To ask what information we have about you, or to have it deleted sooner, write to porcelainsupport@icloud.com. We answer requests to see your information within 30 days. For other privacy requests, we answer within the time the law that applies to you requires. For a check-in or survey answer, tell us your tester code so we can find it.
Health information
Please don't send us health details by email. If you do, we'll delete them and reply only about your question.
The Porcelain app itself keeps your logs on your iPhone and never sends them to us. See the app's privacy policy.
